그럼 제가 올해 1월에 캄보디아 봉사활동을 갔다가 주말에 캄폿(kampot) 여행을 갔던 후기를 풀어볼게요!!
Let me start to talk about the trip in Kampot during the weekend while I was doing volunteerwork in Cambodia in January this year.
저는 대학교에서 국제워크캠프기구 연계로 해외봉사활동을 갔었구요,
I've been there for volunteerwork through workcamp institute when I was in University,
캄보디아 캄폿주에 있는 어느 작은 시골마을 러닝센터에서 비료만들기, 나무심기 돕기, 그리고 영어수업을 했습니다.
The things I had done were making compost, helping planting trees and teaching English at learning center in rural Cambodia.

봉사활동을 2주간 했는데 주말에는 쉬는 날이라서 주말에 캄폿도시에 여행을 갔어요!
I had been doing volunteerwork for 2weeks. During weekend there was no schedule, so I left for Kampot city for trip.
캄폿(kampot) 은 캄보디아에 있는 주 이름인데, 주 안에 가장 큰도시 이름도 똑같이 캄폿(kampot) 이에요.
Kampot is a name of province in cambodia and the name of the biggest city in kampot province is also same, kampot.

참고로 저기 사진에 두리안모양이 보이는데 저곳이 이 도시를 상징하는 곳으로 저기를 중심으로 원형으로 교차로가 있어요.
저는 저기에서 내려달라고 해서 하차했어요!

처음에 잘 몰라서 같은 곳에서 봉사활동 하는 외국인이
주변 여행지 추천해주는데
우리가 지금 캄폿에 있지 않냐고 물어봤어요 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
그랬더니 캄폿주 안에 캄폿이라는 지역이 있다고 알려주더라구요 ㅋㅋㅋ
I didn't know at the first time,
so when a friend of mine from volunteerweek recommended kampot for trip, I said "we are in Kampot already". and he let me know about kampot city.
캄폿은 휴양도시인데 특이했던 점은
그곳이 옛날 프랑스 식민지배를 받았던 지역이라 프랑스, 서양느낌과 캄보디아 분위기가 섞여있는 느낌이 들었어요.
Kampot is one of vacation spots. An interesting thing is that this city used to be colonized by France, so I felt the atmosphere was mixture of France and cambodia.
그리고 한가지 더!
현지인 60, 프랑스인이 약 40%를 차지 하고 관광객이 많은 도시에요.
저는 캄보디아에 동양인이 많을 줄 알았는데 관광객 중에 프랑스인이 가장 많았어요!
And one more thing!
That city, Kampot consists of 60% locals and 40% French and tourists.
I tought there would be much more asian tourists in cambodia, but actually the largest number of tourists was French.
그리고 캄폿도시는 동양인 관광객을 별로 보지 못했습니다. 1박2일 짧은시간 머물렀지만 한국인도 보지 못했어요.
Also, I've not seen many asian tourists in Kampot while I was there. No koreans I've seen neither.
한국인에게 잘 알려지지 않은 곳이기도 한거같아요.
I guess Kampot might not make known to Korean.
대부분 앙코르와트 많이가고 프놈펜 쪽에 많이 일하거나 거주하는 한국인이 많은데
교통이 불편하긴하지만 프놈펜까지 가는 버스도 있어서 버스 이용해서
캄폿여행을 오는것도 좋을거같아요!
버스로 프놈펜에서는 3시간 넘게 걸릴거같아요. 교통이 안좋아서 실제 거리는 많지 않아도 시간이 많이 걸려요ㅠㅜ
Most of tourist are heading to Angkor Wat and Phnom penh (also foreign workers including Koreans). Transportation is not good to get Kampot but there are some bus from phnom penh to kampot. It will take more than 3hrs maybe. Because the roads are not well organized, it takes much time though the distance is not that far.
그렇지만
충분히 올만한 가치가 있는 곳이었고,
히든스팟을 발견한 기분이었어요 ㅎㅎ
It was worthy a come though.
I felt like I discovered a hidden spot.
저는 하루에 미국달러로 7달러하는 게스트하우스에서 머물렀는데 하루전에 결정하고 예약해서 선택할 수 있는게 별로 없었어요.
I stayed a guest house and it costs 7 US dollars per one night. I made a reservation a day before I left for Kampot, so I didn't have many choices to choose good option.

www.booking.comIt was not that good but it was okay.
Bedroom was small and cozy, but the wall was made from bamboo. I could hear all the sound from outside.
처음 도착해서는 점심으로 국수랑 만두를 먹었어요!
When I first arrived, I headed to restaurant to have lunch and I ordered noodle and fried dumpling.
배고파서 그런지 정말 꿀맛이었어요 ㅋㅋㅋ
특히 저기 튀김만두 진짜 맛있게 먹었어요.
한접시네 4달러인가? 했던거같아요!
It was so good cuz I was hungry. Especially, the fried dumplings were super nice. I can't remember exact price but I assume that was around $4.
In the afternoon, I went to a cafe to get a coffee and spent time having chic chat with other foreigners.
저녁메뉴 : 치킨샐러드 US $4
dinner menu : chicken salad, US $4
그렇게 그곳에서 저녁까지 먹고 보트투어를 하러 갔어요!
I ate dinner there as well and headed to riverside for boat tour.
3 US dollars : 1 Angkor beer with boat tour
3달러에 앙코르맥주 1개랑 보트투어
What a deal!
완전 득템!
I got a bottle of beer and an 1.5 hours boat tour only for 3 dollars!!
1.5시간 보트투어에 맥주한잔을 3달러에 얻었어요!!
이렇게 첫날 일정을 마치고
둘째날에는
개인 투어신청해서
20달러에 오토바이 여행으로
정말 많은 곳을 돌아다녔어요!
I finished the first day schedule with boat tour. Next day, I was suppose to take personal tour by motorcycle with guider. It costs 20 dollars per a whole day. I looked around many places thru the guider with motocycle.
